Blood Promise

by Richelle Mead

(3.5 stars) The first half of this book was sooooo boring like 2/5 stars. The middle was really good 5/5 and the end was 4/5. The first half of the book is just Rose looking for Demitri and meeting his family. The middle was actually rea...

The Sky Is Falling

by Kit Pearson

This book has been on my shelf since my Grannie gifted it to me Christmas 1998 <3 Love you Grannie! The book was about Norah and her little brother Gavin evacuating England and coming to Toronto Canada to live with a family of strangers....

Easy

by Tammara Webber

Whoaaaaaa.. next level YA novel! Just after finishing the first chapter of this book I immediately went onto Goodreads and followed Webber. Not because of what happens in the book per say but the writing! It's exactly the kind of writing...

A Wrinkle in Time

by Madeleine L'Engle

Wow well I wasn't expecting this to be such a great book! This is one of the best children's fantasy/scifi novels I've ever read. I love how the reader is constantly wondering what the hell is going on lol and what the hell is going to h...

The Magic of Believing

by Claude M. Bristol

One of the first books of it's kind, it's all about believing, visualization, affirmations. It's very similar to the book The Secret. Everything comes from creative thought, and whether you believe in that thought will determine if you a...

A Monster Calls

by Patrick Ness

I think when you're a teenager there's some confusion in trying to find yourself, who you are, what's your identity, learning right from wrong. And it's because that's life, that's humanity, it's not just black and white, and everyone is...

Shadow Kiss

by Richelle Mead

This book picked it up more than the second book in the series. There was much more plot and excitement and mystery. Here's the good and the bad: Bad: - I just couldn't let it go that rose didn't tell anyone about the ghost of Mason. It...

Frostbite

by Richelle Mead

(3.5 stars) I feel like there was more action in this book than the last but it was still a pretty basic story with not a lot of depth. Within the teen book genre it's a pretty good book. I enjoyed Rose's rebelliousness and being very fo...

Very Good Lives: The Fringe Benefits of Failure and the Importance of Imagination

by J.K. Rowling

JK Rowling's speech at Harvard University. She is such an inspiring woman. She's filthy rich yet such an empathetic caring generous being. I love how she explains that we should all be more empathetic with other people, feel how they fee...
